Week #5

Week #5  Putting it Together

It has finally come to the point in our six week prep for our showcase that the students need to start putting their show together.  We spent the days discussing what elements that we need to prepare for this production.  The students came up with the following list of needs:

  • Tech Support
  • Pit Musicians
  • Advertising the Showcase
  • Creating a Program
  • Concessions
  • Dress Rehearsal
  • Costumes
  • Props Needed
Students also have been working with budgets and paying outside vendors to help them prepare their showcase. In addition to preparing " house keeping items" for the showcase, the students have been working on putting finishes on performance pieces.  Students have started to work on their program and have been reviewing music and choreography.

Today we were graced with Ms. Meaghan Janovsky today who put the finishing touches on our three ensemble pieces. Mrs. Robideau  conducted vocal checks and tightened up vocal harmonies.  The students have learned that they need to sing full out and dance hard.
